window media player

    need help. try to use media player get message internal application error.
    uninstalled ,ran virus scan, defragmented, reinstalled, and still get same
    message. don't know why, any suggestions?

    Are you using Windows XP, and which version of Media Player?

    have windows xp and media player 10.0

    Try this,

    1. Click Start, and then click Run.
    2. In the Open box, type regsvr32 jscript.dll, and then click OK.
    3. Click OK.
    4. Click Start, and then click Run.
    5. In the Open box, type regsvr32 vbscript.dll, and then click OK.
    6. Click OK.

    See if that gets it to working.

    are you running multiple codec packs?

    an internal application error has occurred. which is in a box with a yellow
    caution sign.

    Close Windows Media Player and try the fix I gave you again.

    nope, still get window media player box, with yellow alert telling me
    internal application error.(this problem started when I went to use yahoo video launch)

    Check your event log and/or Dr Watson for some more diagnostic info.

    Also, try running it in Safe Mode and see if you get the error.

    If not, see what is running in the background by using msconfig or process explorer.

    Post back with the info or if you are unsure.
