I'm using WinXP home. When clicking through to links from a web site I frequently get a smaller window. Not every time but often enough to be a nuisance. When clicking a link from Outlook Express mails, the problem is even more frequent. I've tried holding down Ctrl while resizing the corner arrows. This lasts only as long as the session lasts. I can easily click to enlarge but I never had to do this before. Is system restore back to another date my only fix? I'm not much of a techie but I'm willing to try about anything at this point. Appreciate any suggestions.

Don't need to be a techie for this one, as the answer isn't a very technical one ;)

I've fixed this, I kid you not, by making IE fullscreen (not KIOSK mode), then going to File, Close. It may take a couple times, but IE ends up remembering the previous size and restores that the next time I use it.

Thank you Adrynalyne, but, alas, the problem continues. I must admit tho, I don't have a clue what "KIOSK" mode would be. I tried enlarging then edit/close. Repeated several times but no potato salad.

Open one of the links that comes up small, leave that one open and close all others... then drag the window to the full size DON'T use maximize! then hold down CTRL and click from the file menu close again DON'T use the X to close the window.

you may need to do this a few times for windows to remember as its got the short term memory of a goldfish ;)

If it still keeps on doing this substitute the CTRL for SHIFT

THANK youuuu HALO. Still not sure if it was Ctrl or Shift that did it as I tried both . Restarted and bingo, I am now full size everywhere I go. Thank you again. Should any of your fellow posters want to know how to screw things up, just have them post to me and maybe I can contribute.
