Anyone have experience with Window Washer? It's available on a 30-day trial, thought I'd try it out.

As I understand it, Window Washer used to be free for 1 email address.

If you wanted it to work on more than 1 email address you needed the $$$$ version.

This may have changed since I last tried it ( I could never get it going with AOL, despite their help, but that was a very long time ago).

It comes highly recommended by various MG members.

It is also listed on Must Have Free downloads page at http://www.majorgeeks.com/page.php?id=20

Thanks. Next two questions would be:

    - After the 30 trial period, does it have to be purchased on-line or do some retailers carry it?
-when a program such as this indicates that something has been erased/overwritten on the hard drive how do you verify that it has been?

You would have to contact their website and arrange purchase.
If you don't like purchasing on-line, they may have other methods of payment.
It is a New Zealand company, but don't hold that fact against it.
It is still a well recommended program.

Window Washer is used to detect spam, so I am not sure of your second question.
If you delete the spam, it should vanish from your in-box. Bazza

Think you're confusing Windows Washer and MailWasher, Blue.

If in fact TB2 is talking about Window Washer and not what bigbazza is talking about which is clearly MailWasher and a great program. Then I would use CCleaner(slim) available here at Major Geeks "Free", it does much more than Window Washer and lies nicely in the background. I purchased and used Window Washer for years until I found CCleaner................MailWasher last I heard was still Free for single personal use, but again like Bazza its been awhile since I checked. It is a great utility program that checks your incoming mail safely, and allows you to "Delete" "Bounce" or "Blacklist" your incoming Email. Great little program that Bazza showed us, Thanks again Bazza
