window XP Help!!

I have been having major problems with my comp. it is a dell dim.2350 with windows xp. It has been sloooooow, so slow that I was about ready to throw it out the window. I ran virus check on it and got rid of the viruses along with the spyware, but still was running slow. Finally I made the major mistake of thinking I would fix this thing and tried to reload window xp. Yep, i stuck the cd in the cd rom and ran the install cd, untill fatal error came up. Now I cant even get windows up and running, it just want to install and give me the fatal error, then will start over installing windows xp. Somebody please help me I dont care if i have to reload everything but i have figured out I dont know how to exactly do that.

 

1. Make sure your BIOS is set to boot from CD before IDE0, (your HD).


2. Place CD in Drive

3. Restart

4. Machine will boot off CD

5. Format C: as NTFS, (option will be given)

6. Follow installation procedure.

7. Update after install

8. Voila
