Windows 10 Home 64bit System Restore Problem

Hey Guys & Gals,

I have a problem with system restore not working and giving me an error when I try to even look at its settings.
It gives me error system-restore-failure-error-0x81000203 and I found many sites but no fixes for it.
I checked Services.msc as admin and made sure 3 items were on and set for automatic start. IT did not help

I have been searching the web and still can't find a fix.

I will add that it was off when I purchased the new pc.
I wanted it on so I went to screen and turned it on.
Since then I have never been able to access it or create a restore point.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not too sure if this will help but try running sfc /scannow as a Command prompt -admin rites.
It takes its time to check all the files but it might fix the problem.

Thanks for the fast reply but it did not help with that.
Even tried Dism earlier and that did not work.

The I contacted Malwarebytes as I fear malware infection, and they have me doing steps to see whats going on.

I just thought others might also hold the answer/fix.

If you want to update your drivers I would recommend a program like
Driver Booster 6.0.2.639

But do take an image of your system before you proceed.

Teaking.com Windows Repair is usually recommended for system problems such as yours. Run it in safe mode and then run it a second time. It takes a while so patience is required but it is often effective.
