Tried to install free Windows 10 upgrade and it failed. Error code 80070057. Searched the web and one solution was to edit the registry. However, my registry does not have the path mentioned in the fix:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX] "IsConvergedUpdateStackEnabled"=dword:00000000

My WindowsUpdate does not have a sub UX, only Autoupdate, OSUupgrade, Reporting, Services, and Setup. None of those has a sub UX. Most people responding to this fix says it does the trick, but I can't even try it without the proper path. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, which should have Registry Editor Version 5.00, but I can't find a way to verify this. Any suggestions?

You can check the regedit version in Help > About. My Win 7 Pro has v6.1
