Windows 10 Pro Install Problem?

Hi again,
I've just bought an update, from Win7 Home to Win 10 Pro, both 64bit, but following the retailers instructions (8keys.de) I have ended up with Win 10 Home and cannot find how to get this to Win 10 Pro. I have an Activation Key for both Win 10 versions but am stuck!
Do I really need to get the Pro edition, is it really necessary, or should I make do with Win 10 Home? Also, which is the best browser to use in Win 10? I have been using Chrome but I understand Edge is faster. But is it better?

This is a really a matter for you to discuss with the OS Licence SELLER.
Having said that, you can download Win 10 Professional 64 bit from the MICROSOFT downloads centre using the Media Creation Tool, save it to a USB Pen Drive with at least 6gb of free space, then use the Product Key when it requests that.
Browsers are a separate question but I have just updated to Firefox Quantum 57.0 64 bit and it is the fastest Firefox I have used in many years. Personally I think Edge is rubbish but then I have never used a Microsoft web browser on a regular basis. For me Firefox Quantum is actually faster than Chrome.

 

Thanks for this. I have tried repeatedly to get help from the SELLER, without success. All they say is to follow the instructions provided, which I have done, however this is what has led me to having Win 10 Home rather than Win 10 Pro. They then said to use an "alternative download source" which I presume is Media Creation Tool that you are referring to. If you think going to the Pro version is worth it, that's what I will need to do.

 

I would just get a refund from the seller and stick with Home.
