Can anyone explain to me what the difference is between Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Home for refurbished computers ? And will the Product Key from Windows 10 Home for refurbished computers work on a fresh install of Windows 10 Home downloaded from Microsoft on to a DVD/CD ?

The "Refurbished PC" version is an OEM Recovery DVD (I got one with my refurbished Dell laptop).

If your computer came with Windows 10 originally, the Product Key is embedded in the UEFI. You won't need to enter a Key and Windows should activate automatically, regardless of the Windows 10 Home version ISO/DVD/USB you use.

Thanks mdonah, at one time it was a Vista , the old Vista sticker is still attached ,but like I said it now runs Windows 10 Home and has the Windows 10 Home for refurbished computers sticker and product key on it.

But since it didn't originally come with Windows 10, there's no embedded Key. You'll have to enter the Key for activation.
