    Hello

I looking to download an authenthic windows 11 enterprise and windows 11 PRO ISO

the direct website from microsoft seems to always want to install windows 10 home even though the pcs are running enterprise and professional 64 bit windows 10

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11

Also i can't really tell if the iso on microsoft's website is updated and not still the test versions.
I do have some windows 10 home pcs that i wish to conver to windows 11 home but i would like to download the ISO version seperately as opposed to using the media creation tool that always creates windows 11 home.

Another issue is when i created the windows 11 home , the darn thing is asking me for an internet connection AND microsoft login. In windows 10 you could skip this, how do i skip this entirely? There doesn't seem to be such an option to skip it as it doesn't let you proceed

    thanks!

Anyone know how to get an official download of windows 10 pro iso?

I know i was able to pick the installation before from microsoft, but the bloddy windows 10 media creation tool ONLY does home

It doesn't let you pick enterprise or pro

Not sure what changed but this is bloody annoying .. because i have no option to pick windows 10 professional when i am trying to install the OS in a PC

The ISO image (Win11_English_x64.iso) available on the Microsoft website contains also the pro version:

Is this the one that has 5.1 GB in size?

How come I don't get to select the version I want? It doesn't even give me a choice

I basically want to select the version i want and put the cd key i have. However right now I am looking for the windows 10 pro iso seems less of a hassle than windows 11

Yes, the 5.1GB download. The option to select the version appears if you select that you do not have a product key.

You can use a file to force install Pro. I have to do this as my laptop was upgraded from Home to Pro.
Create a “ei.cfg” file containing the following text:
    [EditionID]
    Professional
    [Channel]
    Retail

Save the ei.cfg file to the \Sources folder on your Windows 10/11 installation media (USB flash drive).

If your license is OEM then change Retail to OEM.

Is it possible for you to upload this iso?

I can't seem to get it to work

Better yet i would like to officially download microsofts windows 10 pro 64 bit ISO and only that, without using their media creation tool

This didn't work , pc does NOT give me selection options and instead automatically picks windows 10 home

I should note this pc came with windows 10 home but i recently purchased windows 10 pro so i wanted to upgrade it.

It isn’t an .iso but a file which a user has to create then place within the sources folder of the installation media. I use USB installation media & it is easy to do it with this.
I can supply the file if you post whether your Win 10 Pro is Retail or OEM.
Usually you can just enter the Pro key to upgrade to Pro.

If i can have both that would be great

I just simply drop the file by maneuvering though the sources folder and dropping it on the x64 sources one?

Why doesn't microsoft allow for download of the actual windows 10 pro iso?

From tech spot and useful for those who run into TPM problems.

If you want to perform a clean install and use an even older CPU, you can also perform an unofficial bypass on the TPM and CPU checks during the Windows installation process. As you run through the required steps, you’ll quickly run into a message saying, “This PC can’t run Windows 11.” You’re going to prove the message box wrong by going back a step and then hitting Shift + F10 on the keyboard to open a Command Prompt window. Type “regedit” and hit Enter. Just like with the above method, it’ll open the Registry Editor. Type “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup” in the address bar and hit Enter. Right-click on Setup and add a new Key called “LabConfig.”

In the LabConfig Key, add a DOWRD value called “BypassTPMCheck” and set it to 1. Then add another one called “BypassCPUCheck” and set that to 1 as well. Repeat the same process with “BypassSecureBootCheck.” A word of caution, however, you might be tempted to try “BypassRAMCheck” or “BypassStorageCheck,” but it’s not worth it. If you don’t meet the minimum storage or RAM requirements, it’s better to stick with Windows 10 for now.

Now you can install Windows 11 and bypass the TPM check.
This is especially useful when using Windows 11 within Oracle Virtual Box, or VMWare Player.

The installation media picks up the license in the BIOS first hence why this file is required to clean install Win 10.
The file goes direct into the sources folder, no 64 version. However, I just have the 64bit version of Windows.
    Here's the file:
    https://www.mediafire.com/file/8vwt2sz66g4ky9l/ei.cfg/file
I'll be away from my PC all day so may not be able to get the .iso before tonight.

    THANK YOU THANK YOU

Windows 10 pro is now activated

I really appreciate it , i know this option was possible but they removed it some months ago

How does one delete the key in the BIOS?

You’re welcome. I realised the same when I first tried a clean install of Windows, I discovered Home activated automatically even though Pro was previously installed. The file helped me for future clean installs.
I don’t think it’s possible. In any case I would not remove it as a ‘just in case’ option.

How does one install windows 11 without having to have internet or even using a microsoft account?

On windows 10 installation you are allowed to skip adding a microsoft account, in fact if you upgrade from windows 10 using the download assistant to windows 11 you won't need to add an accounnt.
However it seems upgrading from windows 10 to windows 11 using the download assistant may cause issues with leftover files , so i wanted to install a fresh windows 11 version.

Cant seem to figure out how to bypass the needed internet connection and creating a microsoft account on windows 11 fresh installer
I assumed if one had windows 10/11 pro that you were able to bypass this but it doesn't seem to be the case

Not everyone gets that option and I have no idea what triggers it, if anything, or if it is just random luck.

When I reinstall I have to go ahead and sign in with my MS account then go and create a new admin account and sign in to it as a local account then from there delete the original account.

I think that is because MS verifies if the machine is legitimate and what kind of OS is being activated with information stored in the B̶I̶O̶S̶ motherboard. You have to have an internet connection for that to happen.

i cannot sign in with a local account because it wants the security key enabled

I hate this ''feature'' of microsoft

However i figured a way to bypass it without using an account but don't know if the upgrade will cause issues

So for example if i install windows 10 pro that OS doesn't make you log on, from there i can use the windows 11 download assistant and upgrade
The OS fully upgrades and no sign in is saved, required or stored as far as i know.

However i am not sure if this windows 11 installation is the best way to keep a main PC, not sure if anyone here had issues when they did a 7>10 upgrade and not a clean install.

I already did an upgrade on another windows 10 pc ( NOT clean install) and seems to be running complete fine on windows 11

If the computer meets the hardware requirements then there is a good chance it will be fine. If it was originally a W7 machine then I would think there will be performance issues. My laptop did not meet requirements and after a week I went back to W10 because of performance issues. It was originally a W8 machine and runs W10 just fine.

Sorry I do not think my question is quite clear

I am SURE my pc will run windows 11 it as it meets the minimum specs for certain

What i was asking is: if i install windows 11 over windows 10 simply using the download ''assistant'' that if that will cause issues such as leaving leftover files or something along those lines? Again my only reasoning for this method is because this method AVOIDS logging into a microsoft account or providing one altoghether . A clean install does NOT

A clean install of windows 11 also makes it hard for you to remove a microsoft account once its already there as it seems to keep asking for something to actually replace it.

It won't cause issue but it will leave a copy of the previous install in a folder at C:\Windows.old. It creates that backup in case you want to or need to roll back to the previous install for whatever reason(s). It will (or is supposed to) self delete in 30 days but if you want to remove it manually you can do so by following these instructions. How to Delete the Windows.old Folder from Windows 10/11

Regarding the Windows 11 system requirements, I found PC Health Check installed on my computer. See screenshots below. I don't recall downloading or installing this application. I've been having high RAM usage issues with my computer so I was wondering if my computer will be able to run Windows 11. Maybe I should just work on fixing my current issues and forget about installing Windows 11 when it comes out.

I have had issues with windows 11 crashing problems. If you are running intel then most likely you might not have issues.Amd users are reporting crash problems.
