windows 2000 & firewire probs

    hi all,

    i've put a pci firewire card in my pc so i can dl from my camcorder. everything works fine until i plug the camcorder in and turn it on, then the pc just freezes. i then installed xp and it works fine. but i really want it to work on win2000. have tried everything with no luck. not sure if its hardware or software but it does seem like a software prob. any help would be much appreciated.
