is it a self-build or a manufactured? if its manufactured, shut it down and look in your manual for instructions on a password jumper, there will be a black thing with metal on your mobo stuck on 2 or 3 sticks, the book will show either to move it from one stick to be on both, or from one set of two to the other set of two, onee thats chanced, put the cover on and reboot, go into control panel and user accounts and reset the passwords

    Hi!
When I had W2k it did that to me a couple times...(still don't know why)
...but it showed Administrator and all I had to do was hit 'enter'...not type in a password.
It doesn't show any user name?
