Windows 2000 looks like 95??

I just picked up a Dell Optiplex GX240 and a Dell 2000 Professional reinstall disc.

The pc came with XP, but the hard drive crapped out, hence the reason for the 2000 Pro reinstall.

The install went fine, but the display looks worse than my Windows 95 that I have on my old HP Vectra.

It's all grainy and I know that the monitor is not the problem, because I just unhooked it from wifey's Presario running Vista.

Any ideas where to turn?? I have developed a serious addiction with computers and I keep on taking in strays, even though I have a full house already.

You need to install drivers. You can download them from this link. Install the chipset drivers first, then the video, audio, etc. It's best to reboot the PC after each driver install has finished.
