Hello... I need your help and I hope this forum will help me.:-o:cry

I have a WINDOWS 2000 professional built on NT technology running in my system. Today morning, when I tried to switch on the system, the picture of windows came in as usual, then the blue screen came in and then BOOM, the system started restarting.

This has been happening for N number of times and everytime, once the blue screen comes on the monitor, the system restarts.

Has my system CRASHED??? Can I repair it without calling an expert???

    Please help...:-o

Hello Madhurima, welcome to Major Geeks.

The first thing to try is to see if you can get into safe mode.

Straight after you have pressed the power on button start tapping the F8 key.
A list of options will appear.
    choose safe mode > enter
If the pc now boots to safe mode open my computer and right click on the hard drive.
    Choose properties>tools>check now
    Tick both options >start

There will probably be a message saying this must be scheduled for next restart.
    So restart.

Let us know how you get on.
