    Hello to all,

I have a Windows 2000 Server with two Hard Drives with no raid attached to it. My C: drive is fine but my D: drive states that it is almost full. When I check out the total amout of data that is stored on the D: drive, it only reads 3GB of data. The D: drive itself is suppose to be 34 GB. There is only 1.19 GB of free space.

If you are wondering why there is no Raid on this server is because the server is old. The server used to run on software Raid, we could not make the raid cards work in this server. I am no pro with raid, but this is what my co-worker explained to me that is why the server had no raid installed.

If anyone can help me figure this out, I would appreciate it tremendously!
    Thanks a million to all!

    Sincerely,
    Taskwon

Perhaps it is possible the physical drive is 34GB but it has a small partition.
Right click on My Computer and choose Manage. Then choose Disk Management. There you can see the size of the disks and the size of the partitions created. Perhaps you have some unallocated space you can use. Let us know.

    Thanks for the response.

I did check disk manager and it is reading the drive as a 34 GB hard drive. I can't explain why is states that there is only 1.20 GB left when the total amount of data in that drive is 3 GB.

    Sincerely,
    Taskwon

So Disk Management sees only one partition?

    Can you post some screenshots?
