windows 2000 word files locked after move

Hi all,
Got this strange occurence of file locking! Logged onto a windows 2000 pc with administrator and copied files out of "my documents" into another local pc administrator's account into his documents area.

When the 2nd user logged in to access these documents (newly copied), even though he is an administrator on the local machine, he gets a file lock error -- file in use.

Any ideas?

Also - the pcs log into a domain, but this is all on one pc.

Are file permissions an issue?
Right click the file, and select properties. On the security tab (if there is one), press the advanced button. On the ownership tab, select the administrative account, and press the button to take ownership. Then, the admin can set file permissions on it, allowing him to open it.
