    Hey. Some poeople say that Windows 2000 was "fantastic". Is that so ?

    It was stable and fast with the hardware of the time. Compared to NT 3.5 - 4 and Windows 95/98/ME, it was fantastic, once you'd spent 2 days installing your hardware and drivers ;) and you didn't need to play games.

    Windows 2000 is basicly the same as XP, same nuts and bolts, no activation, xp has few extra goodies

    Do keep in mind, no new updates for win2000 are published, so if your not comfortable in keeping your system secure with a limited toolset, you might not want to go the route of windows 2000.
