Windows 2008 Server R2 64bit

    Hi

    I'm trying to install software that is supported by Windows 2008 64bit in emulation.

    The software doesn't want to install, I've also tried compatibility and tried doing windows 2003 as well as Windows 2008 R1 but still no joy.

    Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi

    What is the software you are trying to use and what if any error messages are you geting while trying to install the software?

    Do you have other 32bit software installed on the server ok?

    Hi David,

    Thank you so much for replying. I've managed to resolve the problem.

    There are parameters in an xml file in the setup directory which I've just edited. Strange that the compatability didn't work though rolleyes

    There was another component which I applied the same process to which didn't work but compatibility worked.....

    Hi

    Windows Server can be weird at times, think alot of the issues when running a 64bit Server version is in the 32bit apps you may install, the location paths, to say wow64 are not correct.

    But glad you managed to install the app and cheers for the update, weirdly I'm in the process of installing Server 2008 R2 at present, so was going to test out any thoughts on this default install.
