    Hello MajorGeeks community,
    Long time user of the forums, though not active the past few years and I can't remember my old username/pw/email;

Anyway, I have been battling instability issues as of late with the machine listed below. I have enabled .dmp file writing and disabled automatic restart after crash, but I seem to be getting BSOD's among a few other problems recently.

Previously, I was having the following issues:

    Now, I have run:

OCCT - CPU - 1 hour - Large Data Set - no errors

Linpack 20 min test passed (90% mem usage) All cores 64bit
    http://s28.beta.photobucket.com/use...pack - 20m - 90 percent mem usage - all cores

6 passes with MemTest86+ 4.20 with no error.

AdAware Anti-virus (latest rev) yesterday crashed me with a BSOD [automatic restart was not disabled so I didn't catch the error message] but I believe that was because the AV scanned a folder of a game I was playing.

Today, I got a random BSOD while listening to music in Windows Media Player...

    Anybody have any ideas?

Now that I have re-installed, Windows is freezing at random times (did it while I was at work,) crashes without BSOD or error, and gives me this message on a black screen:

reboot and select proper boot device (and press any key or something like that...)

Repaired my MBR (master boot record) for the hell of it even though this is a clean install and the issue has followed me across installs.

For those of you looking for MBR repair information,

Reboot with your windows installation CD in your drive and boot from the CD.
    Click on repair windows
    Repair installation
Exit that once complete and select the command prompt option

    (ENTER) means hit enter...
