Windows 7 (64Bit) Bloody Pop Up Adverts

Bloody adverts pop-up on the right side of the screen as I read the news items in Yahoo. Theses pop-ups can't be deleted for 10-12 seconds. About a minute or three later, another advert pops up. I don't mind them when they are on the right side of the site cuz they don't interfere with the news text. However, about 3 -4 weeks ago the pop-ups started to expand (telescope) to the left blocking out about half of the news text.

I tried to find the cause of it by deleting one installation at a time. When I deleted the free-Adobe installation, the pop-ups ceased.

Since I need Adobe for reading PDFs, does anyone know of a way to stop the pop-ups entirely, or at the least, the telescoping feature ?

Thanx for quick response. I don't have any Ad Blocker installed other than what part of the browser. I tried but couldn't download 'Ad Blocker Pro'. Is it because my Win 7 is 64 bit? Can you suggest other blockers?

you can do that or you can go to tools and then manage add-ons then go to tracking protection and you can download through there which is like a built in adblocker and then pick a list which i recommend easylist.

that will block pop up ads
