windows 7 and avast problem

hi everyone

a friend of mine have much problems with uninstalling avast.
he had avast free edition.
but the program did not work correctly, so he want to uninstall it and reinstall the program.
however the uninstall was not quite succesfull.
so i advise to look here in the software for stubborn program that would uninstall.
he found a program that do that but that backfire also.
the program was; even safemode.
now windows say that he must turn on avast while there is no avast.
to make thing better windows is nagging about a chameleon error?
i have no clue what that is and how to fix it..
have somebody here idea's?
the laptop is a windows 7 with I7.

Have you tried the Avast! uninstaller?

yes i tried avast uninstaller in the save mode but he refuse to delete avast.

 

Can you describe the part where the uninstaller failed? Here's documentation of how the installer should work.

i solve the problem another way.
i have use the recovery disc.
the computer was new so their where no important files on it.

How did you use the recovery disk? I mean I have one but what should I press then? I have no idea what to do with it.. please don't get angry if you'll find my post to silly.
