    Hi

I've just been working on a laptop running windows 7, which had a problem connecting to the internet using internet explorer since it updated to IE10, I uninstalled the update to roll IE back to 9 and IE seemed to start working fine :)
Or so I thought!! now when I restart the computer I get the error message GfxUI has stopped working (this happens upon every restart)
I have also had the error messages: Desktop Window Manager has stopped working and Windows Explorer has stopped working!!
It looks like uninstalling the IE10 update has corrupted something but I'm not sure where to start.
Is there any Microsoft software that I can out on the system to check if files are corrupt etc??

Thanks in advance for any help

Oh the system isn't a very good one its running Windows 7 32 bit but only has 1gb Ram

    Thanks for the quick response,
I've found the update and uninstalled it
Ive installed the IE10 Blocker to c: and used Command prompt to activate it which appears to be successful
I thought everything was looking good but the next time I rebooted I got the GfxUI has stopped working message again :(
However I don't seem to be getting the Desktop Window Manger and Windows Explorer Messages any more :)
Any more ideas on the 1st problem?

    Hi

What is your PC or Laptops make and model as its likely you may need to re-install the graphics driver.

Also check in add/remove what versions on .NET you have installed and list them in your next post. Possible we may need to fully uninstall and re-install any none default versions.

Hi the laptop is a Zoostorm? Model W76TH, Windows 7 Home Premium 1gb Ram
I've tried uninstalling the .net framework and re installing it, I've also used Microsoft .net repair tool as well

    currently installed are:
    Microsoft.net Framework 4 Client profile
    Microsoft.net Framework 4 Extended

I've been on system tools and onto the display driver and checked for up to date driver and the one that's on it comes back as the newest one :/

    Thanks in advance

Just used the Intel Driver check utility and it utrns out there was a more up to date driver, I have now installed this but I'm still getting the same error message :(

Did you already have the IE10 Preview installed before updating to the release version?

Not sure it's not my computer, I wouldn't have imagined so though, When I asked the question about IE10 they told me it had installed itself with windows update?

Right, try the following method (leeched from a answers.microsoft.com post):

Thanks for the reply, I tried that prior to the post on here but it didn't seem to work. As soon as I get the laptop back I will go through the procedure again :)

Thanks for all the help and advice
