Windows 7 beta

    I tried windows 7 beta and it's media player is broken (will not play my mp3's it tells me i have insuffient permissions though i'm set as Administrator).:confused
    but media center plays them.:-D
    plus i do know it's in beta so it does have bugs.roflmao

    I have been watching your replies to some of the posts here, you've done alot today, and I'm not sure that you are being entirely helpful all of the time. Don't take offence, this is just what I have observed.

    This is not the kind of advice we here at majorgeeks wish to be giving out ;)

    How wrong you are, and I take it you have been running Windows 7 to make these comments on it?

    Windows 7 while the GUI may just be an update to Vista (well partly in some respects but other parts of the OS and GUI are new), like XPs GUI was an update of Windows 98/ME and its kernel was WinNT, the core kernel in Win7 has been radically changed so more of the usability is under the skin. Worth a watch Windows 7 with Mark Russinovich



    No OS will likely ever be fixed, XP certainly is not 100% fixed either.... and turning off updates is the worst advice I have heard all day, doing this and not getting the security hotfixes will leave a PC open to known exploits.

    Judging from your other posts you are the type who find it easier to bash something rather that understand it.

    If that's directed at Halo then you really are confused and have no clue who your talking to.

    Keep making half witted suggestions in the software forum and advising users to illegally download software *cough, cough. You'll go far here at Majorgeeks. ;)
