    System: Windows 7 SP1 64 bit

This is an old laptop that could not be updated to Windows 10.
I tried to install a new copy of Windows Update Agent. When I double clicked on the update agent exe file, I received the following error:
    C:\$Secure is unreadable or corrupt

Have no idea what this means. Can someone provide some guidance?
    Thank you.

Let me also add that the laptop has a SSD which means I cannot run chkdsk on the SSD.
Anything else I can do to fix the problem?

FIXED - I was able to run chkdsk /F and this fixed the problem.
