Hi I am running A Dell Inspirion laptop. Pentium CPU at 2.20 Ghz with 3 gigs of Ram. OS is Win 7 home premium 64 bit with service pack 1. The last two days I have been getting the error warning "Windows is low on memory". I looked at the performance tab in the task manager and even with programs closed the memory was high around 97%. I tried changing the page file size which I do not know if I did with the right parameters. I also tried uninstalling some programs to free up space on the hard drive. I tried safe mode with networking and the memory in that mode was only 27% I am trying to include all pertinent information.I still face the issue though. I cannot afford tech support. Can someone please advise me as to what to do to get more virtual memory? What steps to take? Any help would be greatly appreciated.:)

you need to narrow down what exactly is using such a huge chunk of your memory.... you should keep track of the processes tab with the it set to programs using most memory set to the top and just see what cause's the spikes or constant use of the memory.

then use something like Ccleaner to disable these at start up and perhaps uninstall some of them

Thank you for the advice. I will examine the processes and use CCCleaner. :)
