I have just installed Windows7 on a Toshiba laptop, M305-S4910. All the devices updated except Mass Storage Controller. I've gone to Toshiba's website but could not locate what was needed, I'm not very tech savvy.
To make matters worse, I don't even know what it's for because the machine
    seems to be working properly!

    Thank You,
    Fran

That one is so new that for sure they still do not have the updated drivers for that; that is why I came back to my old HDD with Xp on it, because still no drivers for my Lexmark printer.;)

This direct download link is for the Vista 32/64 driver for the device you need, and Win7 can use Windows Vista drivers in most scenarios. Give it a go and let us know if it works or not, good luck!
    :-D

BTW- the device is a card reader for memory sticks from a digital camera (for example) and similar storage type memory sticks/cards. The PC will run fine without this driver, and if you never use these types of memory cards, you can get by without installing the driver.

Thank you DlB the link you provided worked!
Also, thanks BYW for the info on what the mass storage controller does.

    Thanks again,
    Fran
