A few seconds after login, my desktop freezes and my mouse cursor becomes the "thinking" icon. When I try to alt-tab the menu stays up. I cannot click on anything on the desktop, and my Task Manager is unusable. However, Skype is still function correctly, as well as Steam and Firefox as long as I"m quick enough to open them before the desktop locks up. Safe Mode also works just fine. It started doing this right after I updated Adobe Flashplayer, and since then I've uninstalled it, with the same issue.

Hmm, I ran MSconfig and disabled my startup programs and it fixed it, going to move through the programs I disabled and see which one was the culprit and post an update, in case anyone else is having the same issue

I did, actually. It was skype, I uninstalled skype and everything is working fine. I also had issues with Skype while I was running Windows 8. Sorry for being spacey, I just got off of 24 hour CQ up here in Korea.

No problem. I have a brother teaching in Korea, and he always seems like he's in space. Maybe it's just Korea.

    Ok...thanks for the update...
