I have lost the installation disk that I used to build this computer. I need to perform a repair on the system files and have no record of the original product key.

The key is

xxxxx-xxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxx

and all numerals. I thought Microsoft uses alpha numeric keys?

Both valuse shown and "match".

I went to Windows download site to download the Operating System (I have misplaced my disk) but the site "doesn't like" my product key. I originally downloaded the installation from an online vendor. Magical Jellybean says my installation is a retail license.

What does that mean?
