I have a laptop running Windows 7 that is about a year old that has been giving me some problems recently. I reformatted it a few weeks ago because it was no longer loading into sage mode or regularly. Now it is not loading Windows normally but well loaf into safe mode. I have run Advance System Care, CCleaner, and Spybot, which would normally have fixed the problem, but it is not working this time.

Can someone please give me a suggestion to get my computer working again? I was sent here from the malware forum because they said malware was not causing my problem aster having looked at my scan logs.

Run a quick chkdsk to see if it is a simple problem of it it having trouble reading a single file.

Computer>right-click C: and select Properties. Under the Tools tab choose Check Now. Leave just the first box ticked and hit Start. It will schedule for next reboot and then reboot and see if it still hangs.

I just glanced at your logs and they say you have about 200gb used on the Windows partition. You said you reformatted and reloaded a couple of weeks ago. I just want to be sure that you did a complete format and reinstall. You must have moved a large number of files to that windows partition after the reinstall--is that correct?

Yes, I put my music back onto the computer for iTunes. I will check what you said this evening when I get home, but I believe it was a complete reinstall because I had to redownload all of the drivers for the laptop.

If you had to do driver install and the 200gb is from iTunes that seems like a fresh install.

The chkdsk is just standard but sometimes will fix a hang as you describe. Advanced System Care may have already run one but I am unfamiliar with that program and another chkdsk can't hurt.

I ran the chkdsk and I am still having the same problem. I can put my password in, but then the computer loads on a blue screen for a few seconds before going to a black screen and starting there.

Try going to the Safe Mode options (F8) and choosing "Disable automatic restart on error" or similar wording option. See if that stops at the blue screen and lets you read any error numbers or files names or error description.
