I downloaded one off the microsoft website however it comes out broken when it try to install it.

    I need windows 7 professional

Does my coa sticker work for both 32 and 64 bit? It doesn't specify

How do you mean it's broken when you try to install it?

The COA would work for EITHER 32-bit OR 64-bit, depending on what was originally installed, but not both.

    Hi

Yes what do you mean as in broken as in general an ISO will need to be burned to DVD (this tool is good HERE) or extracted and copied to USB and for Windows 7 and 8 you can use this tool HERE (I use this tool all the time, saves going the manual command route)

Then with USB or DVD you would reboot to the device and install, if an in-place upgrade is not working for you. Do need to tell us if you are trying to update a previous Windows version to Win 7 or installing Win 7 fresh/new/clean

Indeed as mentioned by mdonah the licence key works for either but only on one PC, so cannot install 32bit with the licence key and then another PC with 64bit with same key.

Where did you download Windows 7 from, can you link us to the location?
Can you tell us what the downloaded file type you gained is? (likely ISO)

the cd says it cant boot from the disc because of a faulty install or file ( iso).
Are the isos from microsoft missing any drivers that i would need initially?

i am actually installing a new fresh clean windows 7

i already burned it to a dvd it wasn't working. Any chance you have a clean windows 7 pro ( 64 bit) iso ( with or without sp1)?

That's something we're not likely to have. I suggest you re-download the ISO from where you downloaded it before (from the link on the Microsoft page you posted a link to). Burn a new DVD. Burn at a lower than maximum speed and make sure to verify the burn from within your burning program.

Windows 7 supports many devices but, may not have all of the device drivers for your particular computer. Check Device Manager after OS installation for any that have a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. For those devices, you'll need to go to your computer manufacturer's support site and download the drivers from there and install them.
