I am having an annoying error with the Windows Startup animation. It is not really a functional error but it is bugging me. Simply, it is not there. Instead of the animation, I get the little sliding loading bar with "Microsoft Corporation" under it like Vista had. After a check, the animation is *not* disabled in MSCONFIG. I think I should also mention that I do not have a startup sound (Beep On Error is enabled). I suspected that my graphics driver was the cause but after reinstalling an older one I know for a fact that the animation worked on, no dice.

My machine is a Macbook Aluminum Unibody 5,1 (the early 13 inch one) running Windows 7 Professional. The Graphics card is an Nvidia 9400M. Sound card is a Reltech HD.

    Hi

Did this animation work from the inital install?

On some machines it doesnt work and by design to speed up the boot process, my netbook has the older bar (as in XP /Vista) over the funky globes boot animation (using Win7 Home Premium), likely as you have a macbook the process is different to a Windows based PC setup.
