Windows 7 Up Date Fix!!

I had issues with my laptop be cause it is advance far enough for windows Xp not to work on it.

When you are done searching for your Windows updates.Make sure you do a search for the windows 10 upgrade option and disable it.

The KB is as listed below.

Look for KB 2952664 (likely on Win7 systems) I found this one on windows 7
Look for KB 2976978 (likely on Win 8.1). Most likely on windows 8

Also look for KB 3035583 (both Win7 and Win 8.1). If you find any of these in the Windows update make sure you uncheck them and hide them.

Than you can update your system with out the pesky windows 10 nag system.

I will do more searching on Windows 10 KB list so far that is the only ones i found.

You should have a little over 234 Windows updates for the 86 and 64 bit versions on windows 7.

 

As far as KB3035583, MS stopped pushing that out after version 1607 of Windows 10 came out on August 2nd. I run both Win 7 Ultimate (just re-installed it) AND Win 8.1 Pro and that GWX hasn't shown in Updates since. That Windows 10 Upgrade option is now only available to those that use Assistive Technology like Don Gaynor. If you want Win 10 now, you'll have to pay for it.

 

I still found it in the windows update list so it's best to uncheck and hide it.

I got backup copy's of all my windows.

 

All suggestions to fix the windows update did not work. Why do I pay $30 for a re image repair?

The last time I re-installed Windows 7, I had to download and install the first 5 KB Updates. Afterward, it took about 5 minutes to produce a list of updates to download and install.
