Lately i have not been able to update windows 7.

So i started a extensive search on the problem. And it seems most of the solutions don't work.

So i did a little more search and found a link to the web site. This is a catalog of the windows 7 updates.

    https://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=Windows 7

Testing this out tonight to see if this works or not. Will get back to you.

    Total updates are 933 wow.

933 Updates?? Are you sure they're only for Win 7? AFAIK, there's about 350 updates TOTAL for Win 7 to bring it current.

Most of the updates are Drivers.

    wile e...

Not sure why but avast blocks the site. It says it has an invalid security certificate. I guess that could mean that it's out of date, but I didn't look at the site to see if it's 100% Microsoft. Maybe since it's for Windows 7 or not an updated page, MS just didn't renew the certificate...

Looks like the specifics mean that the certificate hasn't been verified/issued by a trusted authority. Must be a very recent change somewhere.

I went there in IE, which the catalog requires. (MS is supposed to be changing this.)
You got hundreds of updates and I was offered NONE.

If you choose to use another browser (tested in Palemoon and Firefox) you type this into the address bar
    Code:
    http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Rss.aspx?q=KBxxxxxxx
replacing the x's with the number of the update you want.

You need to use Internet explorer to run the site.

I only did a search for the site using firefox.

I did use Internet Explorer and I got no update when I searched.

So how did you arrive at the conclusion that you need 933 updates, when I'm told there are no Windows 7 updates?
