Ok, basically i've just installed Windows 7 on another computer (downstairs) and it's fine, i've installed my Belkin Wireless N router software for my wireless dongle, which works fine also. But heres the problem, as I connect to my network, it connects ok, then seconds later the dongle just completely stops, and I have to take it out and plug it in again. Its not the wireless as it works with every other computer, and it's not the dongles as i've changed this. :confused:confused Anyone got any advise?

    Hi

As Windows 7 is still a beta their can be some issues with some hardware and drivers, what I would suggest is two things,

What versions of Win7 is this x86 or x64 and what Windows versions are the other pcs?

    1. Check to see if there is a newer driver at Belkin for this dongle

    2. When installing the driver try right clicking the setup file and choose "run as administrator"

3.if you have installed a software firewall on this of then disable it to testvthat it's not responsible for the blocking even with it connecting ok.

Do also note that it's very likely that a newer build of Windows 7 will be due anytime soon and that could be updated to allow this wifi device to work better.

I spotted this on the web but i doubt it is an official release.
I did not do a full screen because there is a web address just under where i cut it and don't want to encourage warez.
I am interested in your comments David?

Hi Bill, maybe real maybe not, many builds are interim, but you takes your chances with whats on bittorent and if it messes up then your on your own for using a non offical build, even builds with same numbers have had differnt applciations and stability to them, depends on the route that these builds took, be it internal, TAP, 3rd party or offical beta build.

I will only comment on officials when the development team tell me they are released, and I see their posts and comments on the beta newsgroup to this project daily and I not had read one yet.
