Windows 7 won't boot Farbar won't run

My Computer won't reboot and after doing all the usual troubleshooting steps like resetting the CMOS by doing the jumper pin thing and running all the diagnostic programs I could access (I can't get into safe mode or do a system restore). I've been trying to run Farbar FRST64.exe, which I have on a thumbdrive and get the error: FRST.exe is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I have Windows 7 Home Premium, which I believe is a 64-bit program but I also tried the 32-bit version, frst.exe and got the error: The subsystem needed to support the image type is not present. I also have jrt.txt on the thumbdrive. When I go to command prompt I see x:\windows\system32>_ . Should this be my C: drive instead?

Help! I checked the forum and didn't see a remedy.

I found a fix for my problem by using EasyRE. thanks for letting me post, You can cancel this thread if needed .

Was it caused by malware do you think or not? If you suspect malware you can just go ahead and run all of the requested scans, attach logs, (in the malware removal forum) and one of us will review them for you.
