I can not seem to get this to go right, my gf and I both have computers, hers is a laptop connected to a wireless router, and mine is on an ethernet cable running to the same router. Our problem is that I can not get us onto the same home network for print/file sharing. Ive double and triple checked the workgroup settings, both are named correctly and spelled the same, and both of us have appropriate pc names (i.e. no spaces, punc marks, or strange characters). However it seems that we have both simply created 2 identical workgroups. When i open the "network" window (not to be confused with "network and sharing") it only shows my pc on my network, and her pc on her network. Im assuming that somewhere down the line I skipped a step, or missed something, or simply set something up wrong. any light shed on this would be greatly appreciated.

ps: neither one of us are using that new windows 7 networking tool, ive read it sucks and have chosen to opt out of it for a traditional network.

    thankyou
    kyle
