   ok here is my question when i go to the start or shutdown screen and i click on pc settings or calander it minimizes to my taskbar when i click on it the window pops up on my desktop then immidetly minimizes to my taskbar on its own ,so i can do anything with it.

   Check your screen resolution is at 1024x768 or above, also you can check this as well and right click anywhere on the desktop then Personalization > right click on the desktop > Personalization > Taskbar and Navigation, then un-check "Show Windows Store apps on the taskbar" then click ok.
   
   Reboot and see how the apps open now.
