Windows 8.1 Won't Skip Password Page...

...Even though it has been set to do so for a long time. Also a long time ago it stopped recognizing the regular PW,& now we can only use the email one. It froze up & I had t shut down manually this morning & I swear i typed int eh right PW but it made me do it again. So that's why I'm asking now. Dont' want ot lose access. The only thing I tried way back when was rechecking the' ask fo PW',restarted computer, unchecked the same, restarted, still asked for PW.
I'm hoping this isn't complicated ??? If it is my shot adrenals won't be able to handle it. I turned to jelly when it asked me for PW again this morning.

Since 8.1 is still getting updates, a lot has happened in 2 years. I wouldn't begin to untangle a 2 year old problem, sorry.
