Man I must have missed that. Thanks for the link to the link :-D

Although I have to admit I find this funny.

So it will check to see IF you can run it.
Yet they are warning you a PC pre-XP wont be able to create a bootable USB.
    Nice.
Ok for anyone out there using a 95/98/200/ME edition of Windows..... STOP BEING CHEAP... BUY A NEW PC!!! (certain exceptions apply)
And while you're at the electronics store, go ahead and grab yourself a Colour TV :p

Meh, I don't know ... it was a big deal switching from XP to Windows 7. I plan to stay on 7 for a long time. Seems 8 is just a test OS anyway.

I think it looks interesting, given this early release it could be a hefty update to 7 or it might be another Vista.
    Only time will tell.

    Hi
Well at present it is a test or beta OS, but come Oct/Nov it wont be, all as you likely already know Windows OSes go through a test phase, and Windows 8 is no different.

At present in this early stage I think its a great one, more for the resource usage and back end kernel as well as new additions to Task Manger to aid troubleshooting to mass integration of apps with each other. Sharing data is much better in this Win version that others.

But I guess and have said many a time, the sticking point to those potentially jumping to Windows 8 will be the Metro UI, me I'm used to it as its on my phone but using it for a while now on a PC its not so bad, but it will develop more as the project gets near to RTM version.

I will end with something I have also mentioned on this forum quite alot in that every OS and Application is a beta/test version as they are never 100% complete, they never can be as there is always something that will not work right in the wild like it did in the lab.

Most real people will use it for a few hours then go back to 7, like they did with Vista. At least IMO.

I've only just learned to count to 7 and now they want me to learn a new number :banghead, oh well, I should be grateful that it's only a single digit version number.
