Windows 8 Limited Internet Access

I was having horrible Lag issues with games on my Alienware X51 with windows 8. I never had lag issues on it. I found out I had a virus and did a virus scan with Avast. I rebooted my computer and did a Boot up scan. When the computer Came back up it said I had Limited Internet access. My Roommates computer still has the access so I know its not my router or Modem. I followed a bunch of different steps to see if it would work nothing I have done worked. The boot up virus scan found 7 items all I moved them in the chest. I dont know if that had anything to do with my connectivity but I am not sure whats going on. I tried connecting to WiFi and that didn't work. My ethernet doesn't work either. What do I need to do to get this fixed.
