on my pc i wanted to do a fresh install to windows 8.1. kept saying no partitions. apparently windows 8 messes with them when formating to use 8.1. i used lazesoft recovery suite and formated the drives and also partioned them. tried to install again it states couldnt create a new partition or locate an existing one. googled it then used command prompt and dislpart commands all went well. now when i try to install it gets to microsoft agreement and then reboots always at that point. any help would be appreciated cos i,m pulling my hair out.

Please give the brand name and the exact model number of your system and whether it is 32 bit or 64 bit. Did it come at purchase with 8 or 8.1, or did you upgrade it to 8.1?
    Thanks

It is worth checking the hard drive -whenever I had that sort of problem, I had to check it,and several times over the years it turned out to be a bad spot on the hard drive.
One trick I used was to repartition the hard drive, and then hide the first 30gb of it as a separate partition, and installed windows on the second partition created. I used the free version of partition magic to do that.
I used partition wizard free version, and when unable to use the windows on the original hard drive, I attached the caddy with the old hard drive to another laptop, and did the partitioning from there.

First of all- was your Windows 8.1 that you had trouble with , a free update ?
Next, - Was your Windows 8 on the pc, or, did you install it, yourself ?
Next - Have you actually got Windows 7 up and running ?- (you say you cannot boot up, but then that you installed Windows 7)
Have you got the Windows 7 dvd ?- If so, are you having trouble actually installing Windows 7 , again, or, just with upgrading Windows to version 8.1 (as per your previous post)
