Windows 8 Updates Install

Just updated to a Lenovo Laptop with Windows 8 preinstalled. Finally get the hang of it and BAM! Windows Installer Update seems to enjoy giving people fits. The whole 15% hang up issue. KB2756872 Actually there's quite a few that don't want to install. Gone through all of the Windows troubleshooting, fixes, etc. but no dice. I did see a few people that were able to get that particular one to go through and then once the computer reboots, their USB's are all gone. Gee....now is that seriously something I WANT to update? And this is right out the box. I'm curious as to whether or not anyone else has had the same problem with this Update nightmare.

Oh yes. I've even had a Microsoft tech remote assist into my computer. Twice. The first said do a total reinstall, at the end of all of his tooling around. The second said it's a very common known issue that Microsoft is working to resolve and just wait it out. There doesn't seem to be any real getting around this one. Though, because I got a Lenovo, I was able to just recycle and the USB problem went away, thankfully. I had a yellow triangle exclamation after all of that crap. I'm not touching that update until Microsoft gives the green light. Love how they put out a "wonderful updated BETTER" system and yet, they can't get an update install right. rolleyes
