Windows 98 - 2000 upgrade

I updated a computer to Windows 2k and it had recently been on a Novell netware set up. I used the Netware removal to get rid of it and then performed the upgrade. Now when I try to log onto Win 2k it does not allow it. Administrator does not work. I have tried a password cracker and resetting the password with a tool and nothing works. I tried to re-install but that also does not work. THere is a database on this machine that we need so a clean install will not work and I am checking the Norton Ghost to see if it will bring it back. Does anyone have any suggestions.

I used a couple of password crackers one to reset it and one to see it. Is there a default admin password?

 

You might try just hitting ENTER or type in ADMINISTRATOR.
