Windows 98 and internet

    Is it true what I heard that your not supposed to get on the internet if you have Windows 98? Thanks.

    No , first install zonealarm and then go to the internet.

    I'm not sure if I understand your question, but going online without a firewall for any operating system is not a good idea.

    I think the user is referring to the ending of support for 98, not a firewall. I believe the critical updates will still be available for it through Windows Update, and he/she may be concerned about security in that respect.
