Windows won't start and I get a message invalid system disk. There is not a disk in the computer. This was pre-loaded software so I didn't have the disks and I didn't make a boot disk (oops). Any Ideas?

Sounds like you may have a hard drive problem. If so, you may have to replace the hard drive and reinsall the operating system.
