    Hey hey..well, I'm back again..lol

I currently have Win 98 original now, but for some reason I can't get the internet to work! Everything else that is default works..but my net just won't work. Lets see...for my internet i have rogers high speed cable. From my main internet box or whatever, I am connected to a DLink router [not wireless] Then it goes to my computer which is in a dif room, and I have a Linkys etherfast adaptor because my comp doesn't have a net port at the back...but it works. When I had XP it worked, but now it doesn't. I'm just wondering.. if I click IE or the Internet setup wizard, I get an error. First yellow pops up...

"Failed to load internet connection wizard" OK

    then..

"Performed illegal opperation" The name was Icwoobe. I can go to details and there's some coding stuff. Can anyone help? Also, I have my adaptor loaded onto the pc just to let u know ;)

Do a search on your machine for icwoobe.exe

If you find it, open it and run directly to connect you.

    I did a search..found it under program files/internet explorer.

Now..when you say run directly..what do you mean? I can right click and open it..but same thing happens. What exactly is running directly?

However, If i like right click and rename a file..i don't change the .exe..i just change the name. How to I change the whole format. It says that u save as, but if i right click on it..there is no save as! Help please.

    Sorry Ryan,

My suggestion was no help. I thought you could open the exe and run it but I tried it on a 98SE machine I have downstairs and it didn't work. Got the same error.

Glad you got it figured out. Good job. :)

Perhaps you can fill us in, or someone else in the future (who does a search) on what you did to fix this!

    Thanks! :)
