is there a disk in the drive?

if not, then enter your setup duting boot (just randomly slam the F-keys till something happens, usually F8 - thats my computer, or if you are adverse to the slammage of the keyboard, it should say XX to enter SETUP) and look around for a boot order, from what youre saying its either floppy, HDD, CD or floppy, CD, HDD.

i've always thought CD, HDD, Floppy was the best, as the only reason I'd need a floppy boot thingy is if the HDD was messed up, however as long as floppy is after HDD, you should be fine. another idea is to rip out your floppy drive, but I've found that they can be useful at times (ever had an urge to install windows 3.1?)
