windows been wiped

hi all please can some 1 help me i have just installed a program off this site called apache office.org an had to restart my pc adn windows has been wiped off? it says there is no bootable drive or something please help thanx

 

Very first thing to try is start tapping F8 as soon as you power on. If you get a black screen and a menu select Last Known Good Configuration.

Apache isn't malware but I have read that it doesn't install well on all systems so if my suggestion gets you going I wouldn't try it again.

 

yes it was apache open office.org i have managed to reinstall windows but i have lost everything i had on hard drive wont be trying that again but would like an explanation thanx :confused ive used this site for some time and never had a problem like that before.

 

Would be nice to know your machine particulars: OS, RAM, free space. are your updates/patches current?

Apache Open Office is not being as robustly developed as its heir apparent Libre Office. I never had any problems with either on XP or Win7 machines.

As to your last point: The problem doesn't lie with this site. Checking the software is beyond a religious experience with these folks.
