windows blaster removal tool and avg

will avg say this is a virus?

i did a full reformat sunday and windows update installed Windows blaster worm removal tool (kb833330) and right after i installed avg it went nuts and told me i had nachi b.1 and it went off for nachi a this morning i ran several other virus scans last night and they said i was clean

it is always in restore or another windows folder

 

just had a look at the MSKB i suggest you read this yourself too many variables to list
It does however say that this tool only runs once and then remains dormant you can check a log file to see wether it actually found the blaster worm or not but i would suggest removal from add remove programs turning off your system restore as Xflat suggested and running a full scan

thx i went to that site and turned restore off the downloaded the worm removal tool again and ran it
i hope it was just the avg seeing ther worm signiture and not the worm

i love major geeks
i had been to about 8 web pages reading about the worm and couldnt find anything usefull execpt most of them wanted me to use there anti virus
