I've just started to use Windows Calendar (WC). I have several questions and hoping someone will be able to answer them:
    1. I have two PCs. If I put an appointment, etc. on WC on one machine how can I get it on WC on my other one without having to type in the same details?
    2. Can what I'm asking be done?
    3. If it can, would it matter that they have different versions of Windows?
    4. Does WC sync with the calendar on an iPhone?
My questions might seem daft but if you don't know, you don't know.

I am not 100% familiar with Windows Calendar so my information may not be completely accurate...

As far as I remember, Windows Calendar is only a locally used program and does not sync anywhere else.

If it is able to be done, I personally would not use it and would instead seek alternative means to do what I need by using programs specifically designed for that sort of thing.

For example, Outlook will easily sync to multiple devices if you have it configured with the correct mail server...

Google has many different services that would do this as well

    Hi

What Windows versions (OS) are these PCs using and what version of the Windows Calendar are you using? asking as there have been various incarnations of this Calendar.

I will attempt without the info above to have a crack at an answer and it maybe in multiple parts.

If this is Windows 8 and its calendar then yes you can, however I will answer #3 at same time and its a Yes and NO for #2, if you are using a Hotmail/Outlook/Live/MSN email account with the calendar and this email account in setup in both PCs with Windows Calendar, should not matter what version the calendar will sync as the main calendar is saved online with these accounts.

GMail/Yahoo or your ISP email etc, I'm not too sure of and Google changed some settings at end of year that could mess up Window syncing with that service.

I do have a Windows 7 laptop setup with Hotmail account in Windows Live Essentials and the Email/Calendar app that uses and it Syncs to the Desktop Calendar with Windows 8.1.

I would try Windows Live Essentials and just install Mail app with is the calendar on bot PCs or see if it works with the Windows Calendar you mention. Them setup your email address account on both PCs in the WLM app and see if once they are connected and you have email, check the calendar and see if both are same entries and add a test entry and click the Update All icon (the one like two letters at top left)

This works for me between Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail and Windows 8.1 and its built in Calendar and Outlook 2013 (use this as need the extra scope it gives me), but also tested Windows Live Mail in Windows 8.1 and works ok. NOW NOTE I was using a Hotmail account I have, and know that the other Microsoft email accounts work ok, but Gmail, Yahoo, ISP email etc I do not.

Worth reading the Support from Apple on this HERE as I have a Windows 8 phone as it syncs between PCs and the Phone ok.

If you have a google, yahoo or iCloud account, use those calendars instead.
