windows cannot access the specified device, path or file.

i am trying to install tabula rasa on my comp and keep getting that error i didnt download the game i bought the discs and and i get that error when i try to run the setup.exe can anyone help me out?

 

Are these factory discs? If so, they should autoload shortly after putting them in the CD/DVD drive. Are the discs new or did you buy the game used? It could be the discs are scratched or dirty.

 

the discs are brand new just got them yesterday i have a closet full of games and this is the first time it has happened the disc works fine at a friends house

 

So, when you put the disc in the CD/DVD drive, what happens? Does it autoload at all or does it go straight to the error?

 

the auto run works and ther eis a window that opens to choose language i choose one and it takes me to a screen where i have the option to install i click it and the window closes and nothing at all happens

 

Do any other different games give you problems too?

I'm asking all these questions to try to narrow down why the game installs OK on your friend's PC and not yours... it's not that I like asking boring, seemingly pointless questions

 

nahh doesnt do it with any other games just this one i think im just gunna reinstall i been trying to fix this prob for 3 days now and im fed up lol thnx for your help tho i appritiate it
